VEJA: The Eco-Friendly Answer to the Sneaker Trend

Everyone around town knows the sneaker trend is here to stay. Nike, Reebok, Adidas (Hello, Stan Smith)…everybody in the sneaker industry benefitted from the popularity ascent of the flat shoe in the fashion world. I have been loyal to Superga white sneakers for years, but I may be unfaithful to them with a pair of kicks from Veja. I recently discovered the Veja brand after an embarrassingly long Instagram journey through a number of sustainable fashion accounts. This brand is just one example of the number of conscious companies producing some pretty hip products, proving once again that the sustainable fashion movement has gone beyond “tree huggers” & co. Mostly an array of sneakers and accessories, Veja aims to “offer a different vision which combines fair trade and ecology and links together economy, social initiatives and the environment.” Fabulous!

A pair of these will be my first purchase after the end of May Day Challenge and will be my reward for landing a job out of university (cross your fingers for me).

PS. This is not a sponsored post. I simply want to spread the words on fabulous products and brands I admire.
