As a Torontonian who grew up in the 90s, Fashion Television was a staple of my childhood. The show was on air from 1985-2012 and was hosted my the goddess of Canadian fashion, Jeanne Beker. I know I can YouTube old episodes and new fashion videos are constantly produced online, but I miss sitting down for half an hour and catching up with fashion news on the television. I loved how the stories were curated: highlighting shows from fashion week; spotlighting breakout designers; and hosting exclusive interviews with designers, models, and photographers. In one episode you would travel from Milan, to Paris, to London, to New York. In the insta-world of today, I think fondly on the memory of FT as a reliable, fabulous source for fashion news.
